A Simple Weekly Bible Reading Plan
Without Commentary, Politics, or Preaching at You.
If you’ve ever tried one of those “read the Bible in a year” plans and fell off somewhere around Leviticus… welcome to normal.
Most plans fail for one reason:
They turn Bible reading into a project.
Charts. Themes. Color codes.
Some guy’s “insights.”
A whole curriculum you didn’t ask for.
His Word Together isn’t that.
It’s the opposite.
It’s the simplest plan you’ll ever follow — and the one you’re most likely to stick with.
Here’s the entire “pitch,” if you want to call it that:
I give you the weekly passages.
You read the Bible.
No commentary. No spin. No noise.
You don’t even need the website — the full reading plan is the same every year.
But the weekly email helps you stay on track, and the sense that other people are reading along keeps you from drifting.
And if you’re like me, you already know:
When you have something steady in front of you, you stop second-guessing yourself and just do it.
Why Read the Bible?
Most people don’t read the Bible for one simple reason:
They think they need permission, expertise, or the “right moment.”
You don’t.
You read the Bible because it tells you the truth about God, the world, and yourself — without asking you to pretend you’re someone you’re not.
You read it because it cuts through the noise.
Because everything else is commentary, opinion, or someone trying to get you on their agenda.
You read it because it’s the only book that tells you plainly what God is like, what He has done, and what He expects — and it does it without flattering you.
You read it because it doesn’t change.
And because you do.
You don’t read it to feel special.
You don’t read it to “unlock potential.”
You don’t read it to try to impress anyone.
You read it because faith comes from hearing.
And hearing comes from something better than whatever is scrolling across a feed.
And if you go long enough without it, you start running on fumes without even realizing it.
That’s why you read the Bible.
Not to check a box.
Not to “grow” in the trendy sense.
And not to “get saved” (only faith in Jesus Christ does that).
Just to keep your mind and heart aligned with something that isn’t shifting every five minutes.
Why This Works
Because it’s not trying to fix you.
Or entertain you.
Or “speak into your season.”
It’s just giving you the habit.
A few minutes a day in Proverbs.
A handful of chapters each week in Psalms and the rest of Scripture.
Simple. Repeatable. No drama.
You’ll understand more as you go — not because I explain anything (I don’t), but because the Bible explains itself when you keep showing up.
You will change, but you won’t notice it in real time.
You’ll look back a few months from now and realize it’s happening.
Who This Is For
People who don’t need hand-holding.
People who actually want to read the Bible for themselves.
People who are tired of “Christian content” and just want the actual text.
It’s for anyone who’s done with being constantly “taught,” “encouraged,” “motivated,” and “ministered to.”
If you can read (or listen) for a few minutes a day and check your email once a week, you’re qualified.
What This Isn’t
This isn’t a devotional.
There are no stories about someone’s dog teaching them a spiritual lesson.
This isn’t a commentary.
I’m not here to explain Hebrew verbs, cultural backgrounds, or whatever pastors argue about on Twitter.
This isn’t a “Bible-in-a-year challenge.”
There’s no badge, no streak counter, and nobody cheering you on with emojis.
This isn’t accountability.
I’m not tracking whether you did the reading. I’m not emailing you reminders. I’m not your life coach.
This isn’t motivational content.
Nothing here will “speak into your season,” unlock hidden potential, or tell you you’re on the verge of a breakthrough.
This isn’t a community group, forum, or mastermind.
You don’t have to participate.
Or talk.
Or join anything.
This isn’t a substitute for faith, prayer, or obedience.
It’s not here to make you feel spiritual.
It’s here to get you reading the actual Bible so God can handle the rest.
And most importantly:
This isn’t about me.
You’re not signing up for my insights or my wisdom.
You’re simply getting a structure that keeps the Bible in front of you every week.
If you want a program that entertains, explains, motivates, or babysits — there are thousands out there.
If you just want the passages, delivered cleanly and consistently, without the noise…
that’s what this is.
What You Get When You Sign Up
Weekly readings delivered every Sunday.
No fluff. No interpretation. Just the passages.
PDF of the entire annual reading plan.
Download it and disappear if you want. (You don’t owe me anything.)
A calm, predictable rhythm.
No pressure. No guilt. Just structure.
That’s it.
Simple on purpose.
The Part You’ve Been Waiting For (How Much Does It Cost?)
Nothing. It’s completely free.
If you want to take the reading plan, copy the idea, and start your own (better) site, go ahead.
I won’t chase you down.
The entire point is that people read.
There are opportunities to support the site, and you’ll see them as you go.
But it’s never required.
It costs you nothing.
It’s non-intrusive (a few emails a week).
I’m not going to preach at you or push an agenda.
And you can unsubscribe anytime you want.
So is there any reason not to give it a try?
